Start guide TOMi8
TOMi8 is an advanced tool designed to facilitate interactive teaching and classroom management. This Quick Start Guide will guide you through the essential steps to set up and use your TOMi8 device efficiently.
1. Initial Connection:
Connect your TOMi8 device to a projection medium, either a video projector or a TV screen, using the HDMI cable and a power source.
2. Power On and Calibration:
Press the calibration button on the front of the TOMi8 and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the calibration process.
3. Control
- Using the Interactive Pen:
Use the stylus included in the accessories to control the device interactively. Make sure the stylus has its batteries.
- Connect a mouse and keyboard:
You can connect a mouse and keyboard using the USB ports for added convenience and control.
4. User Interface
TOMi8 uses the Android operating system, which provides an interface similar to that of an Android phone, and you can install any available Android application.
For specific functions such as exam grading, roll call and QR code interaction, use the pre-installed TOMi.digital app.
5. Connecting the device to TOMi8
When the device is turned on, it creates its own Wi-Fi network, and students can connect to this network to interact with lessons and pre-installed content without the need for an external Internet connection.
- Instructions for Students:
Students should locate the network named "TOMi8" on their devices and connect. Once connected, they should open a web browser and type t8:8080 to access the content.
