How do students connect to the TOMi8 Wi-Fi network?
When you present a class from your TOMi8 in offline mode, students must connect to the Wi-Fi network that the device automatically generates. This connection is local, meaning that no internet is required for students to access the class from their own devices.

Here’s how they should connect, depending on the model of your TOMi8:

For TOMi8 LT
This model generates a single 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
It can connect up to 32 devices simultaneously.
Students simply need to search for the TOMi-generated network on their devices, select it, and connect.
        The network name is “TOMi8”.

For TOMi8 STD / PRO / PRO AI

These models generate two Wi-Fi networks:
A 2.4GHz network (better compatibility with older devices).
A 5GHz network (higher speed and stability for newer devices).

🔸 Important Recommendation:
Divide your students into two groups: half connect to the 2.4GHz network and the other half to the 5GHz network.
This helps maintain a more stable and smooth connection for everyone.

Accessing the class

Once connected, students must open their browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.) and type:

Recommendations for a proper connection

Before connecting, ask your students to do the following on their devices:
Forget previous networks: Go to Wi-Fi settings and “Forget” any previously saved networks to prevent automatic switching.
Turn off mobile data: This is crucial. If mobile data is active, the device may try to use it instead of staying on the TOMi8 network.
Accept the “no internet” alert: When connecting, they will see a warning such as:
“This network has no internet access” or “Limited connection.”
They must accept or confirm to stay connected. This is completely normal, as TOMi8’s network is designed to work locally during class.

By following these steps and recommendations, you can ensure that all your students connect successfully and enjoy your class with TOMi8 — no internet required. 🙌
